- Engine Order Telegraphs-

Engine Order Telegraphs (EOTs) are used to send a signal from the bridge to the engine room with instructions about speed and direction (ahead or astern). Each is unique and one of a kind.

As lifespans of large ships become shorter, instruments used onboard continue to be updated which means less and less are made with costly materials such as bronze or brass.  These will continue to become harder for us to find - and more expensive to procure.

that we have carried, and that we continue to try to find and salvage.

This bloctube telegraph stands about 4' high, is solid brass, and is of English make.
